Q. My Revue camera isn't working as expected
A. Switch the device off and on again, and then reconnect to the computer. If nothing happens, carry out a ‘hard reset’. Simultaneously press and hold down for ten seconds the privacy button (the top side button) and the on-off button, as shown in the image. After ten seconds take your fingers off the buttons.
The camera lights will go off, and then all the leds (red, yellow, green) will flash on and off together about six times. The Revue will make a 3 note audio sound – and will then go to normal operation (green light on, yellow light flashing or on while taking a picture).
Use the device for a short time and test to see if it’s now working.
NB – the date/time will be to the year 2000 after a hard reset, and will only update after uploading the first set of new images to the Vicon Revue Desktop.

Q. There are no lights on my Revue camera
A. The device may have gone into 'deep sleep' mode because the battery is too low. To get it going carry out a hard reset as stated above making sure the camera is plugged in to the mains charger. If the camera is in deep sleep mode it can take a couple of attempts at the hard reset to kick start the camera in to life. Leave a few minutes between each hard reset and try again. Once the hard reset has been carried out successfully (as described above) the charging light will start flashing. Charge as normal.
Q. My Desktop software will not open.
A. Go to the Desktop icon in the bottom right of your screen (next to the speaker, charger and internet access icons), right click on the icon and choose Quit. This closes the Desktop software completly and enables you to open it via the Desktop shortcut. We advise Desktop is always closed this way.
Q. How do I access my images directly?
A. Your images are located in the My Documents/Vicon Revue Data folder on Windows and the Documents/Vicon Revue Data folder on Mac.
Q. Is Revue waterproof?
A. No. Please refer to Appendix C: Safety and Usage Guidance of the manual.
